Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service or requesting further services as well as details of your visits to our site and the resources that you access. As a customer of Fagus you have subscribed to use the Fagus online checklist tool.  We process data in order to manage that service and issue a licence to you to use Fagus materials.

We will contact you with information such as events and similar marketing, products and customer updates.

What allows us to process your data?

We must have a lawful basis for processing your data. The basis on which we are using your data  under the data protection legislation for this data collection and processing is:

6(1)(a) – Consent of the data subject

Most of the personal information we collect is related to a business relationship and we do not process any special category data. We do not need consent for most of our processing therefore but if we do need consent for anything we will obtain that from you and make sure you can change your mind if you wish to do so.

6 (1)(b) -  processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract

If you have entered into a contract with us for any of our services then we may rely on this basis for any processing which it is necessary for us to do in connection with fulfilling that contract and sending you relevant customer and product information.

Subject access requests

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. This is called a Subject Access Request and we have to reply to you within a specific timescale set out in the legislation. We use servers located in the UK and do not use cloud storage.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For example we use SSL encryption technology, anti-malware scanners and Web Application Firewall security which detects and blocks anything which looks like it may be malicious.  We take daily back- ups of the server and store them on a physically different server for data recovery safety.

We do not sell or share your personal information for other organisations to use.

We may share your information with partners to allow them to perform services on our behalf. Where applicable we have contracts in place with our suppliers, which require them to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (or PECR), and to have robust systems and processes to protect the security of your information.

How long do we keep your data?
