It's rare that we are let out on a Monday night, but last night was an exception to the rule!
We were attending PAC-UK's book launch "Becoming an Adoption-Friendly School" in London and supporting all the fantastic work they do as an adoption support agency.
The place was overflowing with so many interesting and dedicated people with incredible energy, drive and passion.
During the course of the evening we also heard about the adoption experience from different points of view (including a fantastic contribution from our very own Daniela about setting up Beech Lodge School and its unique nurturing educational ethos). All presentations were poignant, leaving many on the brink of tears (including the presenters!) and highlighted that by using a range of supportive approaches and recognising a child's individual needs, we can provide positive experiences for adopted children in education going forward.
A wonderful night out and a massive well done to PAC-UK and all involved for organising such a brilliant and memorable event.
