It really was lights, camera, action, when the BBC popped into Beech Lodge School to bring the plight of adopted children’s experiences at school to the fore.
Carrie Grant interviewed some of our wonderful children for the BBC One prime time show – ‘The One Show’.
Carrie is best known for her work on the television talent contests Fame Academy, Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, Pop Idol and the children’s television series Carrie and David’s Popshop together with her husband and colleague David Grant. They have four children with hidden disabilities and this includes one son who was adopted from care. Carrie currently spends a lot of her time campaigning to make people aware of the difficulties children with hidden disabilities have, such as girls with autism and children with developmental trauma.
The feature will be aired some time in January. Go Beech Lodge go!
